Because the leaves themselves are consumed, brewed Matcha contains higher concentrations of vitamins, antioxidants and caffeine than other teas. This particular grade of organically grown matcha is moderately priced for everyday enjoyment, whether whisked traditionally in a matcha bowl, or infused into shakes and smoothies to provide a boost of vegetal antioxidants.

The tea fields for Gyokuro are shaded 3-4 weeks before harvest, which produces a boost of nutrients that define Gyokuro’s delicate sweet umami taste. After the leaves are harvested they are steamed, dried and kneaded.
