This unfermented “sheng” or “raw” puer cake comes from the remote villages of Yunnan and is produced by the Bulang minority. Powerful, with strains of easy, sweet tangs, this puer is well enjoyed while still green, and is also great for aging (Summer 2014). A mild tea that grows a bit and develops with each infusion, it is one whose tones come with some powerful vegetal blasts of the famed soil of this remote region. Each cake weighs approximately 100g.
